Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lawrence Technology Services LLC ("Lawrence Tech Services", "we", "us") collects through lawrencetechservices.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what you send us, we use it to respond to you, and we never sell it.

What we collect

Information you send us. When you use our Start a Project, Get Support or Tech Check-Up forms, we collect what you enter: your name, business name, email address, phone number, how you would like to be contacted, and the details of your request.

Technical information. Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps standard logs of each visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested and the time. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working.

VariPose license check-ins. While our VariPose software is open, it checks in with this website to confirm its license. Each check-in sends the license key, the computer's name, its operating system, the VariPose version, and a code that identifies the computer (made from the computer's built-in ID in a way that can't be turned back into it). Our server also notes the IP address the check-in came from. VariPose never sends your designs, spreadsheets or print jobs.

Customer portal. If we create a customer portal login for you, we store your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that no one, including us, can read. We also record when you sign in, and when you release a license seat in the portal.

Cookies. When you load one of our forms, the site sets a single security cookie that protects the form from being submitted by other websites. If you sign in to the customer portal, a second cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking tools on this site, and we do not follow you across other websites. We use Google Search Console, a service that reports to us how our site appears in Google search results; it does not run in your browser or collect information from you directly.

How we use it

• To reply to your request using the contact method you chose.
• To provide the services you ask us for, and to keep a record of our work for you.
• To run VariPose licensing: counting the license seats in use, showing you and us which computers are using them, and stopping misuse of license keys.
• To run the customer portal, and to email you your license key, portal invitations and password-reset links.
• To keep this website secure and working properly.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this website and respond to you:

• Our hosting provider, which runs the server where this website and its form submissions are stored.
• Our email provider, which delivers the notification we receive when you send a form, and the license and portal emails we send you.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for two years after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless they become part of our records of work we have done for you. Server logs are kept for one month. VariPose check-in records are kept for 90 days, and a computer's details are deleted once it hasn't used VariPose for 90 days. Your license and customer portal login details are kept for as long as you have the license.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email support@lawrencetechservices.com and we will respond promptly.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
